Sandpiper Juniors 2009-2010
48th year of touching lives in the community

PRESIDENTS’ MESSAGE

As your 2009-2010 Sandpiper Juniors Co-Presidents, we are excitedly anticipating a year filled with service, leadership, and friendship. It is our pleasure and honor to lead such a dedicated and philanthropic group of young women, and we hope to continue the profound legacy of this organization. We hope that at the conclusion of this year, each and every Sandpiper Junior will confirm her love for community service and giving back to those less fortunate than ourselves.

This year we hope that our organization will advance forward in many different ways. We want to bring back some old traditions, as well as create a few of our own. As society changes, we wish to see the organization evolve. Because we have set such an ambitious goal for ourselves, the Executive Board, and Sandpiper Juniors in general, we really want to instill more excitement and passion in the general membership. In doing so, we hope to institute the long-time Sandpiper tradition of the Round Table process. In this process, the general membership, in conjunction with the Executive Board, will brainstorm new ideas for the progress of the organization. Hopefully this will give the general membership a chance to express their thoughts about our activities.

Of course, what separates this organization from others is the amount of time we spend doing community service and helping others. We look forward to donating more of our time and energy than ever before. We hope to see newer, more diverse community service and philanthropy drive opportunities in the upcoming year. This is the reason that we have all come together and we must perpetuate our original values and goals.

None of this would be possible without the dedication our parent organization, Sandpipers. In the upcoming year, we are eager to strengthen our relationship and form a bridge between the two organizations, and we thank you for consistently supporting us. Also, we would like to thank the members of our community, especially the organizations that embrace what we do and allow us to support their charitable activities. Lastly, we would like to thank the Executive Board in advance for all of the hard work they will put into Sandpiper Juniors. With their dedication, we will see Sandpiper Juniors progress and excel.

We feel honored to lead this great group of girls and are excited to face a year of giving back to our community. We wish to continue our theme of reinstating old traditions as well as developing new ones in hopes of progressing this organization as a whole. With your new ideas and thoughts for the future, Sandpiper Juniors will truly be able to thrive.

Here’s to another fulfilling year of service and giving back to our community!
